Accommodation and Facilities at Miavana

The lodge has an attractive white rock wall along its front, creating some very snug inner spaces! These include a sumptuous lounge and a wine cellar.
There is also a charming garden and a mini-museum of interesting objects discovered around the island, such as a lemur skeleton and cannon balls! At the front of the building, there is a dining area with a well-stocked bar. Miawana also benefits from a superb spa. Finally, there is a sparkling swimming pool, positioned right on the beach!
Guest accommodation at Miavana consists of 14 villas, each with one, two, or three bedrooms. All are super-spacious – the smallest option contains 450 square metres!
Every villa features a comfortable lounge and dining area, flowing out on to a deck where you can relax, eat, drink, and enjoy the beautiful sea views. Both inside and outside, the accommodation is very well appointed, with comfy beds, sophisticated lighting, ample storage space, shiny en-suite bathrooms, and glamorous sunloungers! The palette is mostly neutral, with just a few bright hues.
Actvities at Miavana

An excellent assortment of activities is available on this little paradise island. If you like watersports, you could start with some snorkelling from the beach in front of the lodge! An unspoilt reef runs all the way around Nosy Ankao, and the treasure trove of colourful coral and fish species is a joy to behold. Guests hoping to explore the depths will be keen to go scuba diving, while enthusiastic anglers will appreciate opportunities for catch-and-release fly fishing and deep-sea fishing too. Closer to the surface, you can enjoy jet skiing or you can head out on a boat to spend some quiet time observing the local whales and dolphins! Miavana offers a lot in the way of ‘Blue Safari’ activities, showcasing a large region of bays, beaches, channels, and lagoons. On land, you can go hiking and lemur trekking in Nosy Ankao’s exotic emerald forests. You can even take to the skies in a helicopter and fly out to Ankarana Special Reserve, in the north of Madagascar. There are lemurs here as well, in addition to some fascinating rock formations. And if you are feeling particularly adventurous, you can experience a helicopter flip, which provides literally breathtaking scenes!
All Blue Safari and forest activities are enjoyed in the presence of exceptionally knowledgeable guides, who are able to bring you the very best of this beautiful part of the world. Staff at Miavana are happy to help arrange all the watersports you could desire! Their approach is warm and welcoming, which ensures a home-from-home feel. All meals are included in the price of your stay and the fresh cuisine is first rate! The spa is perfect for a little pampering in between activities, offering a full range of treatments in a very serene setting. For more information, just contact a member of our team.
