ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT VICTORIA FALLS SAFARI SUITES:

Each suite is housed in a modern building made out of wood, brick, and thatch, and with wide windows. Four of the six suites have two bedrooms, and the others have three. All are fully air conditioned and spaced well apart from each other, so there’s ample privacy. On the ground floor, the living areas include a spacious open-plan lounge with comfy seating around a coffee table, a 46-inch LCD satellite television, a telephone, an iPod docking station, a digital safe, and easy access to a kitchen at the back of the room. The kitchen features tea- and coffee-making facilities, a mini-bar refrigerator, and a popcorn-making machine! Adjacent to this space is the TV room, which has a smaller telly, connections for Xbox and PlayStation, and a sofa bed suitable for a child aged 12 years and younger. From the lounge, sliding doors lead out onto a patio, where you’ll find a table, chairs, and a parasol. Also at this level, there’s one en-suite bedroom – or two, in the case of a three-bedroom suite. The remaining bedroom is upstairs. All sleeping spaces benefit from two twin beds, which can be configured as a king-size bed, and smart en-suite facilities – the first-floor master en suite has a full bathroom, whereas the other washrooms have a shower. Free toiletries are provided for all!

Guests of the Safari Suites enjoy many of the communal facilities at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. You can tuck in to breakfast at the fantastic MaKuwa-Kuwa Restaurant, sampling highlights of the continental buffet while watching out for wildlife at the waterhole nearby! Alternatively, a basket of breakfast goodies can be delivered directly to your suite. You can also browse the lodge’s souvenir shop and splash about in the swimming pool, which incorporates a lovely sundeck complete with sunloungers. There’s a 24-hour reception service too, plus a private shower room for early check-ins and late check-outs. Come evening, you can take a seat at the Buffalo Bar and order a few sundowners. On advance notice, babysitting and childminding can be arranged.

ACTIVITIES AT VICTORIA FALLS SAFARI SUITES:

Staff members at the Safari Lodge’s activities desk are on hand throughout your stay, to recommend things to do and to book you onto as many tours and excursions as you can fit in during your time here!

  • You could begin with an on-site activity, such as taking a walk along one of the nature trails, trying out the Vulture Culture Experience, and viewing wildlife from a well-positioned series of hides.
  • If you’re seeking a few thrills, you could trip to the Falls for white water rafting, bungee jumping, and an exhilarating bridge slide! Guided tours are also available – they’re a wonderful opportunity to find out more about the world’s largest waterfall.
  • You can visit Victoria Falls National Park for game drives, elephant-back safari, and walking with lions! Helicopter rides provide amazing views over the area, while river cruises are perfect for spotting hippo, elephant, and all sorts of waterbirds.
  • A complimentary shuttle service runs hourly between the lodge and Victoria Falls, and guests can also travel to the famous The Boma free of charge – every evening involves a drum show!

*This property is partially unfenced and located in a wildlife area, so large and potentially dangerous animals do pass through. If you opt to stay here, always be alert when walking around the camp and request for a member of staff to escort you if you have any concerns. Any guest is escorted after dark as a matter of course.
