The Kingdom Hotel Victoria Falls was built to resemble the style of the ancient kingdom of Munhumutapa with its huge domes, pillars and bridges over wondrous water features.

Looking to supersize? The Kingdom is the biggest hotel in the Falls area and well able to accommodate families. It is also a more affordable option than many of the exclusive lodges here – just contact us for more details!

It is situated within Victoria Falls town, close to the entrance of the Falls and to the town centre.

In keeping with its vast size, the communal facilities here seem endless. There is an impressive selection of comfortable lounge areas, loads of restaurants – such as buffet eatery White Waters, pizzeria Panarottis, Spur steak house and The Burger Place –, four bars, three swimming pools including a toddlers’ splash pool, a children’s supervised play area, Safari Health and Beauty Spa, a variety of curio shops, a casino, and even a pharmacy! The style throughout is very grand, with plenty of polished hardwood surfaces, smooth columns and sweeping staircases. Fit for a king!

The Kingdom has 294 guest rooms – 112 kings, 102 queens, 40 twins plus bunk beds, and 34 kings plus bunk beds. The remaining six rooms are allocated to disabled guests and are easily accessible from the main areas. All rooms have a great view, either of the hotel’s own manmade lake or of the surrounding bush. They are air conditioned, with telephone, digital satellite TV, tea- and coffee-making facilities, safety deposit box, hairdryer, shaver socket, and heater for cooler climes. All en-suite bathrooms have flush toilet, washbasin, and either shower over bath or separate bath and shower. The rooms are pleasantly decorated, with a warm palette of teak and vibrant colours.

As The Kingdom is so close to the Falls, staff are able to arrange an exciting assortment of activities.

  • Particularly popular attractions consist of visiting the Victoria Falls rainforest, taking a trip to meet the local people and tucking into a home-hosted meal, indulging in High Tea at The Victoria Falls Hotel, daring to swim in Devil’s Pool at the very lip of the Falls, and embarking on a sundowner cruise along the Zambezi River!
  • Guests may also enjoy canoeing in the river, in addition to other Falls activities such as a gorge swing, high wire, helicopter ride, and an evening at traditional restaurant The Boma complete with interactive drumming and African entertainment!
  • The Safari Health and Beauty Spa comprises a hair salon and two interconnecting therapy rooms for a variety of treatments using Clarins, a lead brand in eco-responsible plant-based premium skin care. This is the perfect route to relaxation following an action-packed day at the Falls!

*Big game often wanders along the banks of the Zambezi River and even right into Victoria Falls Town itself. So if you are at your hotel, walking into town, or sightseeing, always be cautious of big game - keep your distance and always move away from it if you see it.
