  • It’s very hot and humid, especially in the low-altitude parks
  • The air can fill with dust towards the end of the dry season
  • The flow of the River Zambezi is at its lowest by October, drying out to just a trickle
  • There might be no water flowing over the edge of the Zambian side of Victoria Falls, but you could cross over to the Zimbabwe side for river activities
  • Game drives and walking safaris are restricted to the early morning or evening to avoid the stifling midday temperatures.
