Busanga is a lovely no-frills bush camp that epitomises the spirit of this adventurous National Park.

OVERVIEW:
The camp is a huge hit with safari enthusiasts who are looking for an authentic experience and a less ostentatious safari than other options to be found in the area. Busanga Bush Camp also offers a more economical price than its sister camp, Shumba Camp

ACCESS & LOCATION:
Located to the north-west of Busanga Plains, it is an exciting camp that is fairly simple yet also very high end. We actually prefer this camp’s location to the other two Wilderness Safaris properties.

ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES:
The four rooms of Busanga Bush Camp are set back into the edge of an island of trees that looks out over the plains. It is a fantastic, intimate setting that is complemented by the small size of the camp and its easygoing approach to service and hospitality.

ACTIVITIES:
Activities include game drives by day and by night, as well as walking safaris. Balloon safaris have been possible in recent years – a somewhat bizarre activity considering the remote feel of safari in this park! We are big fans of Busanga Plains, especially during the dry season, from July to October, when the game is at its most impressive. However, for the rest of the year, we view Busanga Plains, and the entire Kafue for that matter, as a destination for old safari hands only.
