ACTIVITIES AT PALM RIVER HOTEL:
Here are just a few examples of things we’ll be able to arrange for you at an extra cost while staying at the Palm River Hotel:
-
Falls tours
- Always a great start to any stay in the Victoria Falls region, expertly guided tours of the waterfall provide a fascinating introduction to The Smoke that Thunders. Walks can include the lush rainforest, the dramatic gorges, and the statue of David Livingstone, who was the first European to see the Falls. -
Wet-and-wild watersports
- Opportunities to get the adrenaline pumping abound here! Among the Falls thrills available are white water rafting, bungee jumping, canoeing, zipwiring, gorge swinging, and a dip in Devil’s Pool, the pool positioned precariously at the top of the waterfall. -
River cruises
- Perfect for taking time to relax and simply enjoy being in this spectacular part of the world, cruises appeal to all types of travelers. As you drift along the Zambezi, you’ll spot predators and herbivores alike coming to drink on the banks as well as the likes of crocs and hippos swimming in the water. You can also look out for a wealth of waterbirds! -
Helicopter flights
- See it all from the sky, by boarding a helicopter and flying over the Falls area. Usually, two flights are offered. One involves a back-and-forth journey above the waterfall before a pause to bank and marvel at the gorges, while another longer flight provides views of Zambezi National Park too!

*Big game often wanders along the banks of the Zambezi River and even right into Victoria Falls Town itself. So if you are at your hotel, walking into town, or sightseeing, always be cautious of big game - keep your distance and always move away from it if you see it.
