Located only 30 minutes' flight south of Zambia’s capital, Lusaka, the Lower Zambezi is easily accessible from the nation's capital. A good range of international flight carriers travel to Lusaka, making the Lower Zambezi one of the easiest national parks to visit in Africa.
As you fly over the escarpment and view the Zambezi Valley, the rivers size and the sheer beauty of the park are immediately apparent – this is a truly stunning national park.
All the camps in the Lower Zambezi offer game drives by day and by night. However the majority of camps here also offer boating, canoeing, walking and fishing. This diversity of activities gives the park a huge advantage over most other safari parks.
Another factor that adds to this park's inclusion in our Top Ten, is the value that you get on safari here. We believe the quality of the experience on offer is comparable to the private reserves in Botswana where prices are Africa’s highest... yet the Lower Zambezi’s camps are substantially less expensive.
