"Arguably one of Africa's best walking camps. With five days spent in one of Africa's remotest areas, you really can't beat the experience on offer!"

OVERVIEW:

This is a superb camp that offers an incredible experience at a very high standard. The staff and quality of guiding makes this one of the best ways to explore the South Luangwa.

ACCESS & LOCATION:

This walking safari hugs the Mupamadzi River, a major tributary of the Luangwa, in the South Luangwa National Park.

ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT ROBIN POPE'S MOBILE WALKING SAFARI:

The mobile camp holds a maximum of six people and lasts for five nights. For this period, guests stay in comfortable tents equipped with full bedding. The bucket shower and toilet are located outside with a bush view.

Meals are enjoyed under the stars and around the campfire each night. The food and service keeps up with the high standard set at all of the Robin Pope properties.

ACTIVITIES AT ROBIN POPE'S MOBILE WALKING SAFARI:

  • The camp tends to move two or three times during the five days, depending on how much ground is covered.
  • The walks are focused around the game-rich Mupamadzi River, encouraging guests to see the little things that often get missed on standard game drives.
  • Robin Pope’s Mobile Camp is combined with a couple of nights at Nkwali at the start of the trip and either Tena Tena or Nsefu Camp at the end of the stay.

*This property is unfenced and located in a wildlife area, so large and potentially dangerous animals do pass through. If you opt to stay here, always be alert when walking around the camp and request for a member of staff to escort you if you have any concerns. Any guest is escorted after dark as a matter of course.
