The rondavel style is unique to the South Luangwa, with Nsefu offering a more ‘secure’ and less adventurous safari experience than other camps in the park.
ACCESS & LOCATION:
Nsefu Camp is located in the Nsefu sector of South Luangwa National Park.
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES:
Nsefu consists of just six small concrete rondavels, which look out over a sweeping bend in Luangwa River. It is the oldest lodge in the park and subsequently has a fantastic setting. However, Nsefu’s well-rooted history is also a slight drawback – the rooms are built very close together, resulting in a lack of the privacy that other camps in the park provide.
Nsefu tends to attract a less adventurous clientele than the majority of camps we use. Nevertheless, the quality of this camp is undeniable – a great choice for mature travellers a little cautious of the adventurous spirit other camps seem to offer.
