"An expensive option on the golf course and a property that caters to the golfing market. Expensive overall, and in a crowded marketplace, we find we sell it rarely. Great for golfers!"

OVERVIEW:

Siringit Villa is owned and run by the Janssens-Onsea family. If the name seems familiar, it’s because the Janssens-Onseas also operate the excellent Onsea House and Machweo Wellness Retreat! The villa offers a particularly luxurious base from which to explore the Arusha area. Accommodation is booked on a B&B basis including Wi-Fi, and the villa is available all year round.

ACCESS & LOCATION:

The villa is accessed via 25 minutes’ road transfer from Kilimanjaro International Airport or about an hour’s drive from Arusha. It’s situated near the fifth hole of the Kiligolf course!

ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT SIRINGIT VILLA:

The villa contains six bedrooms, all available as singles, twins, doubles, or triples. All are very spacious and furnished in a contemporary Afro-chic minimalist style. As well as the bed/s, each room has bedside tables and lighting, a comfortable seating area with armchair and coffee table, and some well-chosen wall artwork. Five of the six bedrooms have en-suite facilities including a walk-in rain shower and a freestanding bathtub, with the remaining washroom offering walk-in rain shower only. All offer pleasant views.

The communal spaces within Siringit Villa are equally well-appointed, not least the property’s opulent open-plan living and dining/kitchen area. This includes amply cushioned sofas and armchairs around coffee tables, a selection of books and games, and one large table flanked by upright chairs where everyone eats together. The décor features elegant lighting and intriguing ornaments. Guests can also relax and dine on the villa’s terraces while enjoying views over the well-kept grounds and Kiligolf course beyond. The grounds are perfect for a gentle stroll, and among their attractions is a fire-pit, where guests gather to swap stories of each fun-filled day! Finally, there’s a 15-meter lap pool for putting in a bit of exercise or simply splashing about. It’s surrounded by inviting sun loungers, under parasols.

ACTIVITIES AT SIRINGIT VILLA:

Comparatively, for the Arusha area, there is a wide range of activities from Siringit! They include:

  • Golf

    - The villa is near the fifth hole of Kiligolf, Tanzania’s first 18-hole championship course. As well as offering a series of challenges to excite even the most seasoned golfer, Kiligolf is quite likely one of the most scenic courses on Earth. Designed by former Kenya Open Champion David Jones, it effortlessly merges sprawling greens, wonderful water features, and an enticing range of elevations and bunkers. There’s also a well-appointed clubhouse!
  • Safari trips

    - Arusha is commonly termed the gateway town to safari, as it has excellent links to a number of North Tanzania’s finest safari areas. Closest to Siringit is Arusha National Park, but staff at the villa are well able to organize trips to the likes of the Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, and even Tarangire N.P., where you could enjoy a hot air balloon ride.
  • Hiking and climbing

    - Feeling energetic? Villa staff will happily arrange a variety of hikes and climbs for you, from walking with the local Hadzabe bushmen to clambering up Mount Meru, Ol Doinyo Lengai, and Mount Kilimanjaro. An excursion to Mt Meru can form part of a walking safari, in which you’ll wander through ancient forest, enjoy a little birding, and stop for lunch at the top of a waterfall.
  • Bike adventures

    - A number of cycling tours is available courtesy of local company Namic. Just a few destinations you can explore on two wheels are Arusha N.P., Lake Duluti, Songota Waterfalls, and Chemka Hot Springs. You can take a local village tour too!
