When To Visit Zanzibar:

"One of the oldest properties on the island and one that comes with a solid reputation. The reality, however, is that this price bracket faces steep competition, meaning we sell rarely. Very nice property, though."

Anna of Zanzibar has been built in the midst of a lush and colorful garden, creating an intimate setting for each of its individual villas.

Located on the beach of the east coast of Zanzibar between Paje and Ras Michamvi.

The villas are tastefully appointed in a fusion of colonial and typically Zanzibari-style furnishings, ensuring that this lovely boutique hotel offers its guests an authentic Zanzibar experience. Each thatched villa sits just a stone’s throw from the beach and consists of a comfortable lounge area, a bedroom with huge Zanzibar beds, and a large bathroom with dual wash basins, a shower, and a bathtub.

Food is served by way of set menus, but in keeping with the general vibe at the lodge this is very flexible and guests can request almost anything they want, provided it is in stock.

*Please be aware that the swimming pool here has no depth markings, so take care before you jump in!*

  • On site, guests can make use of a large swimming pool and a private spa, while excursions around the island can be organized through the management.
  • Keen snorkelers and divers are also well catered for, as there is a water sports center only 10 minutes’ walk up the beach.
