Located along a sweeping palm-lined coastal road, it is an iconic 1920s Cape Dutch-style building, with whitewashed walls and prominent rounded gables. Guest accommodation at Winchester Hotel consists of 51 rooms and 25 suites. All are exceptionally well appointed, with lovely ocean, mountain, or courtyard views. Features include telephone, satellite television with international channels, complimentary Wi-Fi, electronic safe, mini-bar, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and air conditioning. The furnishings are as impressive as the communal areas – large double beds laid with crisp linens and fluffy duvets, subtle bedside lighting, classic wood-framed cushioned chairs, sophisticated artwork, lots of storage space for your belongings. ACTIVITIES AT THE WINCHESTER HOTEL:
The hotel is a brilliant base for getting out and exploring Cape Town.
- There are loads of attractions around the V&A Waterfront – for example, the Two Oceans Aquarium, the Telkom Exploratorium, the SA Maritime Museum, and the excellent selection of art galleries, curio shops, and specialty stores. A free shuttle service takes guests to and from this bustling part of the city.
- Sports fans will be delighted to learn that Winchester Hotel is close to facilities for sailing, parasailing, horse riding, and golf. Guests can also enjoy city sightseeing, a city day tour, a township tour, and excursions to the scenic Cape Peninsula, Cape of Good Hope, Robben Island, and Winelands.
