Beautifully decorated in a colonial style, Ebony Lodge offers sumptuous luxury and excellent game viewing.

Both Ebony Lodge and its sister lodge, Boulders, are extremely luxurious, and share the same game-driving experience. We prefer Boulders with its more contemporary feel, however travellers who enjoy a more traditional-style lodge with a colonial influence should definitely opt for Ebony Lodge.

Singita Ebony Lodge is located in the private Singita Reserve in the heart of South Africa's famous Sabi Sands

The lodge stands in the shade of jackalbery trees beside the Sand River. Both the beautiful lounge and atmospheric dining area have beautiful views across the river. There is a large timber deck outside where guests can sit and watch game pass by. They can also enjoy a well-stocked library, a TV room, a gallery of African art, a bar, a spa with a well equipped gym and a large wine cellar.

The 12 suites are spacious and luxurious, with a large lounge area, bedroom, ensuite bathroom with inside and outside showers and a plunge pool on the deck outside. The style is colonial/English country house with antique furniture mixed with ethnic crafts and colourful fabrics from the local area.

This reserve offers outstanding big game viewing at any time of year, and is particularly famous for its leopard viewing. In addition to game drives twice a day, guests can enjoy archery, mountain biking and community tours. Walking safaris are also available on request.

A stay at Boulders links especially well with a few days at Singita Lebombo or Singita Sweni.
