When To Visit Sabi Sand Reserves:

A stay at Singita Castleton can easily be combined with a few nights at Singita Sweni across on the Mozambique border. It too can be booked for the exclusive use of up to twelve guests.

The name 'Singita' is synonymous with luxury and Singita Castleton is no exception. This is a magnificent place for large groups of friends or family to stay, but it has a large price-tag to match! It was formerly the family home of the grandfather of Luke Bailes, the founder of Singita, so is steeped with history. It retains the rustic charm of an old country homestead, even though it has the benefit of extensive high-end facilities.

Singita Castleton is set within 18,000 hectares of private reserve in South Africa's Sabi Sand Game Reserve on the western border of Kruger National Park.

Guests sleep in six individual cottages within the grounds, and share the magnificent living areas of the main house, with its elegant lounge and spacious verandas. Everything is beautifully decorated and extremely luxurious.

The camp has many other facilities to keep guests busy. These include a swimming pool, tennis court and gym, as well as mountain bikes and archery. There is even a spa where guests may be pampered.

Game-viewing is fabulous as the area is particularly rich in wildlife. Your personal guide and tracker will take you out on game drives and walking safaris to find and track game. However, you don't have to leave camp to see animals as the camp's waterhole often attracts buffalo, antelope, as well as the occasional predator.
