When To Visit Sabi Sand Reserves:

Leopard Hills is one of several top-end lodges in the Sabi Sands combining extreme luxury with very good game-viewing.

Leopard Hills is an extremely good five-star lodge with excellent game-viewing. This area is rich in game with over 145 different species of mammal including the Big Five, and hundreds of species of bird.

Leopard Hills sits in its own concession in South Africa's Sabi Sands Reserve, bordering Kruger National Park.

The lodge is built on a hill overlooking a natural waterhole where one can watch hippos wallow and crocodiles bask in the sun. The central area is very impressive, with a lounge and bar where guests can relax, a well-stocked library where they can browse, and a dining room where guests can watch wildlife visit the waterhole, whilst they dine. Outside there is a large deck, a swimming pool, and a new sala and gym area.

Accommodation is in eight luxurious glass-fronted suites. The interiors are spacious and stylish with a comfortable lounge area, sumptuous bedroom and extremely romantic bathroom with a Victorian bath and both an inside and outside shower. Massive windows give magnificent views of the bushveld outside. Each suite has a large sundeck and a private plunge pool.

Both food and service are excellent, as is the guiding. Guests can go on game drives twice-daily, enjoy a bush walk, or simply relax at camp and indulge themselves with one of the pampering spa treatments on offer. For those who feel energetic, there is a gym where they can work off the effects of some of the magnificent meals they have been served here!
