ACTIVITIES AT ISANDLWANA LODGE:

  • The biggest attraction in this area is the opportunity to learn about the historic battlefield – and tours are led by very passionate experts. Rob Gerrard is the resident historian at Isandlwana, and he and his team of experts really bring the stories of the past to life. The most popular tours are Battle of Isandlwana, and Rorke’s Drift and Fugitive’s Drift. Both are half-day tours and we suggest spending at least two nights at the lodge to include them in your itinerary.
  • If you have a bit more time, there is a whole host of other battlefield tours available – alternatively, you can do some hiking, horse riding or cultural visits.
