When To Visit Cape Town:

We really like Four Rosmead Guest House – comfortable and tranquil, with some fantastic African artwork and a lovely garden.

The building dates from 1903, yet to avoid appearing old fashioned it has been stylishly remodelled into a ‘Cape contemporary classic’. The staff are friendly and the service is extremely good.

With an excellent location on the slopes of Table Mountain, Four Rosmead Guest House is within walking distance of Cape Town city centre and is close to Kloof Street with all its cafés and restaurants. It has fabulous 360-degree views of Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, Table Bay, Signal Hill, and the city itself.

This guesthouse has a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. The interiors are chic and contemporary, with numerous pieces of African art and sculpture adding extra zest and colour. All eight rooms are stylish and extremely comfortable. Just beyond the swimming pool there is also a small cottage, which we particularly like. It can sleep four people and comprises a bedroom, bathroom and lounge with a ‘sleeper couch’. It even has a private courtyard and garden. (Although this cottage sounds ideal for a family, please note that no children aged 12 and under are allowed to stay at this guesthouse.)

There is a lovely landscaped garden where guests can relax and unwind. A patio overlooks a swimming pool, pool deck and herb garden, while a pamper spa offers various massage treatments.
