"Delaire competes with La Residence for the title of The Winelands’ most luxurious hotel. The vineyard here is really very good, whilst the overall standards of food and service are set equally high. Great views and really very few negatives. A truly superb property."

OVERVIEW:

Delaire Graff Lodges & Spa forms part of the Delaire Graff Estate. Owned by Laurence Graff, chairman of Graff Diamonds International, it was established in 2003 with the aim of becoming the most desirable art, hospitality, and wine destination in all South Africa! Accommodation is booked on a B&B basis, including daily newspapers, mini-bar items, Nespresso coffee, daily transfers between the estate and Stellenbosch (subject to availability), wine tasting, evening wine and canapés, Wi-Fi, and a laundry service.

ACCESS & LOCATION:

The estate can be accessed via 60 kilometers’ road transfer from Cape Town. It’s situated between Franschhoek and Stellenbosch, with breathtaking mountain and valley views!

ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT DELAIRE GRAFF LODGES & SPA:

At present, there are four types of guest lodges, with an additional category, and a villa. Starting with the Deluxe Lodge, this covers 70 square meters and sleeps a maximum of two adults. A cot may be added if need be. The bedroom features a king-size bed or twin beds, a writing desk and chair, contemporary wall artwork, and ample storage space. Adjacent to the bedroom is a lounge area, and the lodge also offers a well-equipped kitchenette. En-suite facilities comprise flush toilet, washbasin/s, shower, and bathtub. Amenities include air conditioning, mood lighting, telephone, satellite television, DVD player, Nespresso machine, mini-bar, safe, iPod docking station, Wi-Fi, high chair (if required), and hairdryer. Double doors lead from the bedroom onto a pleasant terrace, complete with private heated pool! This is a great spot to relax and enjoy the lodge’s garden views. The Luxury Lodge is similarly appointed and offers sweeping vistas over the estate, Simonsberg mountain range, and Stellenbosch valley. Next up, the Presidential Lodge is sufficiently spacious (130m²) to accommodate up to four adults in two en-suite bedrooms, and guests can marvel at some beautiful countryside scenery. And the Owner’s Lodge is the same size, but guests of this lodge enjoy views of the estate, the valley, and Table Mountain! Please get in touch with us to discuss the options, including accessible rooms.

The communal areas of Delaire Graff include a very sumptuous lounge, featuring plush seating around stylish coffee tables. There are two restaurants. One is named after the estate and offers classic bistro dishes, spectacular vineyard views, and interiors including orange leather couches designed by David Collins. The other is Indochine, where exquisitely flavored Asian cuisine comes as standard. Of course, wine plays a significant part in the estate’s dining experiences, with many a fine vintage produced at the on-site winery and brought to table for you to enjoy. There’s a gallery to peruse as well, in addition to an assortment of boutiques – Graff Diamonds, 100% Capri (linens), Vana (handbags and accessories), and Africa Nova (curios). Guests have access to a cinema too, as well as a gym and a spa. The estate’s gardens provide a lovely setting for a gentle stroll, and there’s a very inviting swimming pool!
