Originally a farmhouse, Cape Cadogan was ‘Victorianised’ in 1912, then declared a National Monument in 1984. The front of the hotel is decked with a beautiful verandah, while the lovely tranquil courtyard at the back offers an escape from the city, complete with a small plunge pool.
ACCESS & LOCATION:
Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel is located close to busy Kloof Street in the City Bowl area of Cape Town.
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES:
The hotel has a comfortable Bohemian feel. All 12 rooms are decorated in a creamy classic style and filled with lovely antiques as well as providing all the mod cons you would expect at a good hotel, including free Wi-Fi. The hotel provides a full breakfast and can arrange in-room dining, but it does not have a restaurant for lunch and dinner. However, with an abundance of great coffee shops and restaurants on its doorstep, this works very well.
Many areas of the city are within walking distance, and the hotel provides daily shuttles to and from the V&A Waterfront, which is 2 miles away. Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel is a great-value hotel for those wishing to stay right in the thick of things in Cape Town.
