Originally founded in 1690 with one of the best-preserved werfs (farmyard), and with a manor house dating back to 1777, Babylonstoren is steeped in history.

Located in the Cape Winelands, near the town of Paarl, Babylonstoren Hotel is a 45-minute drive east of Cape Town.
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES:
The farmhouse has eight one-bedroom farmhouse suites and one one-bedroom farmhouse loft, ideal for families. The farm hotel has six one-bedroom suites, three one-bedroom cottages and four two-bedroom cottages for up to four guests sharing.
Babylonstoren places a real focus on enjoying the natural surroundings of the farm – guests are encouraged to explore the 8 acres of garden and invited to join in with harvesting, planting, pruning or picking of the 300-plus edible fruits and plants. The Babel restaurant acts as a wonderful showcase for all the produce on offer and describes its food as ‘leaning towards simplicity, but with an edge’!
In addition to the gardens, the farm has a gym, spa and outdoor swimming pool and offers a host of other outdoor activities. It is a perfect base for hiking, cycling and exploring the Winelands area.
