Etosha Village is a really pleasant place to stay as a base for Etosha National Park! Highly recommended by YZ. Service is of a high standard and there is a good selection of accommodation, from self-catering packages to all inclusive, and you can be sure of a friendly smile and helpful advice no matter what type of holiday you are on and what you wish to see!
ACCESS & LOCATION:
Etosha Village is located in the perfect place for small groups and young families who are looking to drive themselves into Etosha National Park and the surrounding areas. It is a beautiful spot from which to see all kinds of wildlife and birdlife, with the waterholes at Okaukuejo and other areas providing a spectacular setting for viewing the wild in action!
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT ETOSHA VILLAGE:
Geared towards self-driving groups and families, Etosha Village Camp has a secure parking area and a well-manned Reception. Although the accommodation has been designed to allow for self-catering in each room, the communal area boasts a staggering three restaurants! Each is housed under the canopy, so you can dine with the breeze on your back in the evening, and look out into the bush. An open-air bar offers a welcoming area in which to relax with friends, watch the large satellite television, and enjoy a brew or a cup of coffee 24/7 from the reception area or restaurants! Outside is a delight for young families, as there are no fewer than three shimmering swimming pools to cool off in. You can either go for a swim in the adult-sized pool or parents can take the kiddies for a splash in one of the two smaller pools. As the camp is focused on self-driving groups, its general shop is well stocked – and there are also some curio items.
All forty canvas rooms at Etosha Village are raised on wooden decks and fully air conditioned. Although there is a large number of rooms on site, their elevated position provides privacy for each family or small group of friends. The outside areas consist of a patio from which to enjoy the views and a small barbecue area where you can have a cook-off before tucking into your food and drink at a lovely wooden table and chairs. Inside, a kitchenette offers a fridge, a hob and a small washing-up area, with cooking utensils available from Reception. The bedrooms are fab for young families, as they have twin beds and a sleeper couch for children. A uniquely designed, semi-open, en-suite bathroom is separated from the wild by mopane branches. If you fancy bathing with nature, why not use the open-air shower?
