We recommend a 3- or 4-night stay. The property is open all year round.

ACCESS & LOCATION:

Mara Bush Houses are situated in the peaceful Ol Chorro Losoit Valley between the Lemek Hills. Mara North Conservancy, an area of the Mara that occupies 30,000 hectares. They’re accessed via an hour’s road transfer from Mara North airstrip.

ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT MARA BUSH HOUSES:

Each house – Acacia House and Mara House – offers three bedrooms. At Mara House, all bedrooms have an en-suite, while at Acacia there’s a double room with en-suite bathroom, an attic room for children, and a ground-floor double room with a shared bathroom. Furnishings are pleasantly homely, and the style is classic contemporary. The palette is mainly neutrals amidst warm wood, with splashes of colour provided by vibrant rugs on the timber floors. All en-suite facilities are very well appointed and there’s a complimentary laundry service too.

Both houses have an open-plan lounge–diner with a lovely log fire to keep you cosy during the chilly evenings. Here you can chat, read a book, and enjoy amazing views over the Ol Chorro waterhole, which is very popular with the local wildlife. The furnishings are comfortable here as well, featuring sumptuous sofas and armchairs, coffee and occasional tables, subtle lighting, and colourful rugs. Each house has a deck too. Set with lounge and dining furniture, this is the perfect spot for relaxing and tucking into delicious food and drink while marvelling at the scenery.
