On the first day of your trip, you will fly out to Cape Town and transfer by road to The Silo. This property has a fabulous location on the V&A Waterfront and it opened in March 2017, to first-rate reviews! Transformed from a grain silo, the new hotel is set in the original elevator tower. The communal spaces within the building are just as striking as the external appearance and include a café, fitness centre, piano bar, and, right at the top, a restaurant and swimming pool! You will stay in a Luxury Room. This option is found on the eighth and ninth floors, and boasts majestic vistas of the mountains! It also has a sumptuous bed, chic lounge furniture, and a glamorous en-suite bathroom. The Silo is perfectly placed for visitors to explore some of the most vibrant areas of Cape Town. The Zeitz Museum, due to open in September 2017, occupies the structure’s lower floors, while the Waterfront boasts a wonderful selection of shops, cafés, restaurants, and galleries. Other attractions within a short distance of the hotel include Two Oceans Aquarium, Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Robben Island, and a number of beautiful beaches stretching along the Western Cape.

On Day 5, you will transfer by road to the Winelands! Here, you will stay at La Residence Franschhoek. This property has a superb setting, within a 30-acre olive-and-wine estate. Verdant vineyards and plum orchards surround the hotel, the countryside stretching as far as the mountains to provide breathtaking views from the communal areas! Whether you recline in the lavish lounge, enjoy a meal in the dining room, relax in the spa and infinity pool, or simply take a stroll around the estate, the scenery will simply enthrall. The accommodation option we have selected for this trip is Luxury Suite. There are six suites in total, each individually furnished with features such as a four-poster king-size bed, an opulent chandelier, a marble bathroom, and a private veranda or balcony. Among the experiences available in the Franschhoek area are wine tasting in the estates around La Residence, helicopter tours of this glorious region, and a vast variety of trips taking in Franschhoek itself as well as locations that are ideal for fishing, biking, hiking, and golf.

Now it’s safari time! For the final part of your trip, you will transfer by road to Cape Town International Airport and fly, via the Kruger, to the Sabi Sand Game Reserve! You will spend a few days at Singita Boulders Lodge. Singita is a famous name in luxury safari, and this property has everything you could desire for a very comfortable stay. We love the communal lodge, an open-air timber-and-stone structure with amazing views over the Singita Reserve, including the Sand river that flows by! Communal spaces include a plush lounge complete with tribal artefacts, a dining room, a library, a TV room with internet access, and an exceedingly well stocked wine cellar. Your accommodation will be one of eight river suites, all with lovely views of Sand river. This category is just as beautifully decorated as the main areas, benefiting from a deluxe bedroom, a private sitting room, a game-viewing deck, and your very own plunge pool! From this sumptuous base, you can enjoy game drives, guided safari walks, and mountain biking through the wildlife-rich Singita Reserve. Species you can expect to see include all the Big Five – lion, rhino, leopard, elephant, and buffalo – in addition to cheetah, hyena, hippo, wild dog, antelopes, and hundreds of birds! Other activities available are community visits, stargazing, and archery.
