The first property you’ll visit is Ole Sereni, a luxurious hotel conveniently located close to Nairobi’s international airport. After one night here, you’ll jet off to the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, staying at Borana Lodge. This is a high-quality eco-lodge, situated on a hillside and within its own ranch and if you visit during July–October, you can look out for the huge herds of the Great Migration. Next up is Kicheche Bush Camp, in the Mara’s Olare Motorogi Conservancy, an authentic yet deluxe base from which to explore the wildlife-rich surrounds. Finally, you’ll spend three nights at the lavish Almanara Boutique Hotel, which is positioned right on Diani Beach and has a gorgeous forest backdrop!

Ole Sereni is superb for stopovers, providing plenty of fine dining, a spa, and a swimming pool. Once you’re in Lewa, the focus will be wildlife viewing on expertly guided vehicle and walking safaris, although Borana Lodge also offers horse riding, mountain biking, and helicopter trips! Kicheche’s activity list features game drives and walks too, in addition to cultural experiences. And once at Diani, you’ll find lots of watersports available from Almanara’s own watersports centre. You can enjoy deep sea fishing as well, plus a variety of dhow trips, land sports such as golf, and of course some laidback beach time.
