Superb for solo travelers, this trip uses camps that charge a low single supplement and have a very friendly atmosphere! Starting in the Linyanti and ending in the Okavango Delta, you can also enjoy first-rate safari activities.

You’ll begin the adventure at Lebala Camp, an adventurous property that’s within the Kwando Reserve, and a favourite at YZ! After three nights in Kwando, you’ll head to Splash Camp. This property is located in the heartlands of the Okavango Delta, and it’s set up around a pan that attracts plenty of wildlife.

During your stay at Lebala, you’ll enjoy expertly guided game drives, night drives, and walking safaris. Splash also offers game drives and walks, as well as boat cruises, mokoro excursions, fishing, and visits to local heronries! Both camps are situated in areas containing a real wealth of wildlife.

Days 1-3 Linyanti

On Day 1 of your trip, you’ll touch down at Maun Airport and fly to Lebala Airstrip. From here, you’ll travel to Kwando Safaris’ Lebala Camp via shared road transfer. Situated in the Kwando Reserve, Lebala is pretty rustic, always a hit with keen safarists! The camp’s name means ‘wide open spaces’ and is inspired by the surrounding plains. Communal areas include an open-plan lounge/bar, a dining room where guests eat with guides, a viewing deck, a plunge pool, and a fire-pit, used morning and evening for gatherings to swap safari stories! You’ll have much to discuss following excursions into Kwando, on day and night game drives as well as walking safaris. Wildlife highlights include big cats, wild dog, plenty of plains game, and hundreds of bird species. And after each exhilarating day on safari, you can bed down in your comfy en-suite tent, which offers a comfortable bedroom, separate lounge area, and private balcony!

Board basis and activities:
All-inclusive accommodation, featuring all meals, all drinks, all game-viewing activities, emergency medical evacuation cover (all guests must have their own travel and health insurance), Meet and Greet in and out of Maun Airport by a Kwando Safaris and/or Moremi Air representative when being transferred with Moremi Air, and a daily laundry service.

Days 4-6 Okavango Delta

The second half of your vacation is spent at Splash Camp. To get here, you’ll travel from Lebala Camp to Lebala Airstrip via shared road transfer and fly to Kwara Airstrip. Once you’ve landed, you’ll have another shared transfer to Splash. Also run by Kwando Safaris, this camp has a great location around a pan and provides highly personalised service! The communal spaces are found in a timber-and-thatch structure raised above ground level. They include a lounge, a dining area, and an orientation centre. Outside, there’s a fire-pit and a plunge pool. All guest rooms benefit from views of the pan, from a private veranda. Activities include day and night game drives, guided walks, boat cruises, mokoro excursions, and seasonal fishing and trips to nearby heronries. While on safari, you can look out for four of the Big Five, numerous smaller predators and herbivores, and an astonishing assortment of birdlife!

On the last day, you’ll return to Kwara Airstrip via shared road transfer and fly back to Maun Airport, arriving in good time for your flight/s home.
