You’ll stay at Nxabega Camp and Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge. As these properties are operated by &Beyond, both are intimate and highly exclusive. The honeymoon discount comprises a saving of 25 per cent, valid all seasons and available within six months of your marriage date. Nxabega is a classic water camp. It’s situated in the western region of the Delta and offers classic safari activities as well as the opportunity to take time out and enjoy some together time. And sumptuous Sandibe lies in the South Delta, bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. This property also provides a great range of things to do!

While you’re at Nxabega, you’ll enjoy expertly guided game drives, bush walks, boat cruises, mokoro excursions, fishing, and even helicopter flights at extra cost. Please note, water-based activities are season dependent, and we recommend speaking with a member of the YZ team about the best time to travel if you have your heart set on exploring the Delta’s waterways. Sandibe is a dry camp, offering morning and evening game drives, bush walks, and scenic helicopter flights (again, at extra cost).

Days 1-3 Okavango Delta (West)

On the first day of your honeymoon, you’ll touch down at Maun Airport. From here, you’ll fly to Nxabega Airstrip and travel to Nxabega Camp via shared road transfer. This camp is pleasantly positioned on an island within the West Delta, in the shade of ebony and leadwood trees and overlooking a channel of the Bora river. The communal areas include a comfortable open-plan lounge and dining room, featuring large armchairs, a bar, and a cosy fireplace. Outside, there is a spacious plunge pool! You’ll stay in one of Nxabega’s nine tented chalets. Each chalet features a big bed, well-appointed en-suite facilities, and a private veranda complete with swinging daybed. You could spend a lot of time simply watching out for wildlife from camp, but there are plenty of activities to tempt you into the wild – game drives, boat trips, mokoro excursions, and scenic helicopter flights (at extra cost). The resident wildlife includes lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, and hundreds of bird species!

Board basis and activities:
All-inclusive accommodation, featuring three meals daily, soft drinks, house wines, local-brand spirits and beers, teas and coffees, refreshments on game drives, safari activities, park fees, emergency medical evacuation insurance, VAT, transfers between the camp and Nxabega Airstrip, and a laundry service.

Days 4-6 Okavango Delta (South)

Come Day 4, you’ll return to Nxabega Airstrip via shared road transfer and fly to Chitabe Airstrip. From here, you’ll have another shared transfer to Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge. This luxurious property has a lovely location within a private concession, surrounded by wild palms and fig trees. Its communal lodge design is modelled on a local resident – the pangolin! The main areas include deluxe lounge and dining spaces, as well as a library, bar, interactive kitchen, gym, and spa. Guest accommodation consists of 12 suites, all fully air conditioned. Each standard unit has a plush bedroom, well-appointed en-suite facilities including outdoor shower, and spacious private deck complete with plunge pool! From this sumptuous base, you can head out on vehicle and walking safaris, and helicopter rides (at extra cost). The area’s wildlife highlights include four of the Big Five and numerous smaller mammals, not least, appropriately, the charming pangolin. There are lots of treats for birders too.

On the final day, you’ll return to Chitabe Airstrip via shared road transfer and fly back to Maun Airport, arriving in good time for your flight/s home.
