Featuring Chobe National Park, the Moremi Game Reserve, and the Okavango Delta, this family safari offers fantastic wildlife viewing! We use three superb properties, two of which provide a private vehicle. This means you have plenty of flexibility about how you spend your safari time! The third property is a classic water camp, where you can enjoy boat trips as well as mokoro excursions.

The adventure begins at Chobe Game Lodge. This is a large and very well appointed property, situated in the north-eastern corner of Chobe National Park. Next, you will head to Camp Moremi, in the famous reserve. This property has a lovely location on the banks of Xakanaxa Lagoon. And finally, you will travel to Camp Okavango, a water-based camp on a remote island that offers the true big water Okavango Delta experience!

Days 1-3 Chobe National Park

On the first day of your family vacation, you will fly out to Botswana, transferring to Chobe Game Lodge via road from Kasane. This large lodge is positioned in the shade of mahogany trees, and it overlooks both the Chobe river and the Caprivi floodplains. Communal spaces include a wildlife reference library, a gym, a massage room, and a spacious swimming pool! You will stay in a Luxury Family Suite. This option includes a double room, a twin room, a comfy lounge area, and an interleading shared bathroom. There are lots of amenities – air conditioning, dressing gowns and slippers, cots and extra beds for children available on request, and a free wildlife checklist! You can expect to tick off quite a lot of species during your game drives here, such as lion, leopard, hyena, wild dog, elephant, buffalo, zebra, and over 300 types of bird. Chobe Game Lodge offers village visits too.

Days 4-6 Moremi Game Reserve

On Day 4, you will leave Chobe and fly to the Moremi Game Reserve. Here, you will stay at Camp Moremi. Aiming to provide the classic African safari experience, this property is situated on the edge of a lagoon that is home to all sorts of wildlife. The comfy communal areas include a lounge, a library, a thatched boma, a fire-pit, and a sparkling swimming pool, perfect for a splash-about in the heat of the day! Camp Moremi has one family room, which comprises two bedrooms and two bathrooms and is set on a teak deck above ground level. Views over the reserve are breathtaking! Activities on offer here are morning and afternoon game drives in your private vehicle, as well as boating safaris across the lagoon. Among the wildlife highlights are lion, leopard, elephant, kudu, waterbuck, malachite kingfisher, and the mysterious Pel’s fishing owl!

Days 7-8 Okavango Delta

For the final part of your adventure, you will fly to the Okavango Delta! The property we have chosen for your stay here is Camp Okavango. This is a classic water camp with a wonderful location on the remote Nxaragha Island. Communal spaces are linked via walkways over the water, providing easy access to two lounges, a library, and a dining room. There is a lower level too, where you will find two fire-pits and a deck complete with rim-flow swimming pool! You will stay in Camp Okavango’s family room, which has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It has a private deck too, from which you can enjoy amazing views over the Delta. By way of activities, the camp offers motorboat safaris and mokoro excursions. You can look out for a great range of wildlife, including oodles of birds!

On day 9, you will fly to Maun and connect on to your international flight home.
