OVERVIEW:
Seba has historically been known as the family-friendly camp in the same reserve as elephant-focused Abu. Over the last few years, however, there has been more investment in shifting emphasis away from elephants and onto the sheer quality of big game on offer. There has been a noticeable change in camp focus and Seba now offers one of the best-value private reserve experiences in the entire Okavango. All the cats, wild dog, and great diversity of habitat combine to make Seba a genuine competitor with the Delta's best value properties.
ACCESS & LOCATION:
Seba is located on the edge of a small lagoon, which is inhabited by a semi-resident hippo and has its own sandy beach in front of the main communal areas. It blends into the surrounding riverine forest perfectly and is a good place to spot leopards on game drives. Elephant are also abundant in this area.
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT SEBA:
Well-lit paths lead to the communal bar and dining area, a lounge/library and a secluded swimming pool to refresh and relax in after a game drive. The camp has eight elevated, well-appointed en-suite tents, each decorated in bright colors and with a private deck looking out onto magnificent vistas. Two are family suites to accommodate groups – each has a private plunge pool.
ACTIVITIES AT SEBA:
- Game drives (day and night), mokoro safaris, a boat ride through the winding channels, exploring the bush on foot and even fly-fishing are all possible here.
- For young explorers, the camp offers educational activities that combine fun with learning about wildlife and nature.
*This property is unfenced and located in a wildlife area, so large and potentially dangerous animals do pass through. If you opt to stay here, always be alert when walking around the camp and request for a member of staff to escort you if you have any concerns. Any guest is escorted after dark as a matter of course.
