Its Botswana properties operate in the Linyanti, the Okavango Delta, and the Central Kalahari. The accommodation will be booked on a full-board basis and it’ll be open throughout the year.

The camp is accessed via approximately half an hour’s road transfer from the nearest airstrip. The site is north of WildernessDumaTau, within the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve.

ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT WILDERNESS LITTLE DUMATAU:

Guest accommodation consists of four tented suites. These suites are very spacious and comfortable, featuring cooling systems, ventilation, and plenty of shade. Each includes a luxurious lounge, and the en-suite facilities feature both indoor and outdoor showers. Most excitingly, every suite has an expansive deck including a private plunge pool! The style overall is elegant with a sense of off-the-beaten-track exploration.

The communal areas at Wilderness Little DumaTau also combine elegance and adventure. They include a sumptuous lounge, an outside dining area, and a ‘curiosity room’ in which guests will find a wealth of reading material and some fascinating artifacts to peruse. The camp’s fire pit provides an exciting venue for pre-dinner drinks while sharing safari stories! And between Wilderness Little DumaTau and the larger Wilderness DumaTau, you’ll find a wellness space and spa, shared by the properties. Here, you’ll be able to enjoy a range of relaxing and revitalizing treatments while enjoying beautiful views over the Linyanti or simply take a refreshing dip in the lap pool. There’s even a trading safari boutique.

ACTIVITIES AT WILDERNESS LITTLE DUMATAU:

Wilderness Little DumaTau will offer a thrilling assortment of activities, as follows:

  • Expertly guided game drives

    - These will take place during the morning and the afternoon. Drives will cover a lot of ground and provide opportunities to view many mammals of the Linyanti. Among these are lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo – four of the Big Five! – as well as smaller predators and herbivores such as cheetah, hyena, wild dog, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, and antelopes.
  • Night drives

    - Guests will be invited to look out for the nocturnal species of the reserve too. Head out after sunset, and you might see leopard, civet, genet, honey badger, and spring hare.
  • Nature walks

    - Walks will also be accompanied by a knowledgeable and experienced guide. They’ll be ideal for travelers interested in getting to know the smaller lives of the Linyanti – the insects, plants, and birds.
  • Boating excursions

    - Board a boat, and you’ll have a lot of fun exploring the reserve’s waterways, watching out for crocodiles, hippos, and big game species quenching their thirst at the edge of the water.
  • Birding

    - Fans of feathery friends will be keen to fit in a birding safari, as the Linyanti is home to both Okavango specials and mopane woodland species. Ostrich, slaty egret, wattled crane, coqui francolin, southern carmine bee-eater – the variety of birdlife is truly outstanding here!
  • Helicopter flights

    - Wilderness Little DumaTau’s location at the end of the Great Rift Valley is absolutely spectacular, and these flights will provide breathtaking vistas over the valleys, the Linyanti wetlands, and the waterways.
