When To Visit Moremi Game Reserve:

Okuti Camp is a lovely little camp with good game-viewing throughout the year.

Set under large shady trees overlooking the Xakanaxa Lagoon, Okuti Camp is a smart and stylish camp and something a little different from the traditional camps often found in Botswana's Okavango Delta.

Okuti Camp sits beside the Maunachira River in Moremi Game Reserve, one of Botswana's prime areas for game-viewing.

Accommodation is in seven thatched canvas chalets, each with an ensuite bathroom, a flush toilet, and both an indoor and outside shower. They are raised up on teak platforms and have decks with lovely river views. Two of the chalets are particularly suited for families, each with two bedrooms sharing a spacious bathroom. Children over seven years old are welcome here. The main area has an interconnecting lounge and dining area and outside there is a small pool surrounded by decking.

Guests can explore the Okavango Delta waterways and lagoons by boat, as well as going on conventional game drives on dry land. The area is a birdwatcher's paradise, especially for herons and storks during the breeding season.

"Located in the north of the Moremi Game Reserve, the sheer quality of game viewing here is undeniable. The prices are also appealing due to the fact Okuti is not in a private reserve however the lack of walking and night drives is an issue to some. Excellent game viewing and price nonetheless."
