This camp is of a very high standard, enabling guests to enjoy an adventurous safari in comfortable surroundings.

OVERVIEW:
This is a good little camp, offering a wonderful opportunity for guests to have an exciting wilderness safari experience. Savute under Canvas like Chobe Under Canvas, moves every five days. This means that one never knows exactly where the camp will be and when, however, it gives guests the advantage of exploring different areas and being based closest to where game is at the time.

ACCESS & LOCATION:
Savute under Canvas operates in the Savuti area of Chobe National Park.

ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES:
Accommodation is in five large walk-in luxury tents. Each has a very comfortable bed, attractive furnishings, along with en suite facilities that include a flush toilet and an alfresco shower. Lounge and dining areas are also under canvas, providing a shady spot where guests can relax in between their safaris, and a place where they can gather for a drink in the evening.

Both food and service is excellent. Delicious meals are cooked over a camp fire, while service is friendly and efficient. Guests even have their own personal butler. Guiding is also extremely good.

ACTIVITIES:
This camp is very similar to Chobe under Canvas which operates along the Chobe River. Both camps are run by &Beyond, which usually guarantees a very high level of accommodation, service, food and safari. Game was poor here for many years as the Savuti channel was dry between 1989 and 2007, but since the channel began to flow again, game has become plentiful once more.

"Sister property to Chobe Under Canvas, Savute Under Canvas is located in the west of Chobe by the Savute Marsh. Known for epic lion viewing this is an intense area and a seriously fun camp. I absolutely love it."
