Bitten by the travel bug at an early age, Kelly has always found enjoyment in trying new things and getting out of her comfort zone. The draw of Africa was inevitable, and she was lucky enough to answer its call in her early 20s through working for a luxury tour operator, which sent her to eight different countries over the years.

Recent travel experience

Kelly’s most recent African adventure found her exploring the wild and wonderful terrain of Kenya and indulging in barefoot luxury on the most stunning beaches of the Seychelles. This trip provided the ultimate combo of safari and beach, and Kelly was spoiled with incredible wildlife sightings as well as dreamy white-sand beaches and turquoise waters.

Kelly's most memorable experience

“You never forget your first… Zambia will always hold a special place in my heart, and to me it is one of the wilder destinations in Africa. I will never forget canoeing down the Zambezi river just as the sun dipped into the horizon. Peacefully gliding past elephants as they dunked their trunks in for a drink and viewing the hues of red, pink, and orange dancing on the water will always stick in my mind.”

Kelly’s biography

Hailing from sunny California, Kelly has been restless and travel-obsessed from an early age. This obsession has seen her moving from state to state and country to country since the moment she finished school. She now calls London home, where she brings her West Coast warmth to Yellow Zebra.

Kelly fell in love with Africa after her first trip to Southern Africa and has since shared her passion with anyone who will listen. This passion led to over half a decade of tailoring luxury safaris for fortunate travelers, with tour operators in both the US and UK. After a brief stint in tech, Africa was once again calling, so she is excited to join the Yellow Zebra herd and keep that Africa flame burning.
