Uganda in November


It’s wet season in South Uganda, but dry in the north – and a big highlight of this month is the beginning of birding season, with colourful migratory species flying in to the parks.

  • It’s dry and warm in northern parts of the country
  • November forms part of wet season in the south
  • Temperatures are warm throughout Uganda
  • Waterproofs are essential if you’re travelling to the south.

What are the highlights of visiting Uganda in November?

  • Properties have good availability
  • Rates are significantly lower in November than during other months
  • There are hardly any other tourists at this time of year

  • In high rainfall areas, some properties close down
  • Short yet heavy rain showers occur throughout the month

  • Gorilla tracking can be challenging in the wet weather conditions
  • This is not the best month for visiting Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
  • Mosquitoes are present especially in areas like Bwindi, Kibale and Murchison.
