In the lounge, comfortable sofas and chairs are set up around coffee tables. The restaurant features chic individual tables and upright chairs, and it’s adjacent to the hotel’s well-stocked bar. This space is the venue for delicious breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, and staff are happy to advise on any accompanying wines. ACTIVITIES AT NO.5 BOUTIQUE HOTEL:
For many of our travellers, a stay at No. 5 will be a simple stopover before or after an international flight. Entebbe is the gateway town to the national parks of Bwindi Impenetrable, Queen Elizabeth, Rwenzori, Kibale, and Lake Mbura, as well as to Murchison Falls. However, if you have any spare hours, or you’re here for a longer stay, there are plenty of local attractions to enjoy.
- Entebbe itself is full of shops, markets, and eateries! It’s also very close to Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest lake, which offers wildlife viewing and scenic cruises.
- You could explore the botanical gardens too – these are home to the striking black-and-white colobus monkey and they host all sorts of events throughout the year.
- The Uganda Wildlife Education Centre is well worth a visit, as is Ngamba Island’s Chimp Sanctuary and Mabamba Swamp.
- Boat trips on the swamp are highly recommended for birdwatchers, as well as anyone seeking serene experiences during their stay here.
