“Great for those who are wanting a slightly longer stay in Arusha rather than the standard one night. A really peaceful and serene setting out of the main hustle and bustle of Arusha town.”

OVERVIEW:

The Safari House is owned and run by Nicole and Javier Menchen. Nicole was born and raised in Tanzania, while Javier is a keen golfer who fell in love with Africa during his very first visit. Supported by a first-rate team, their mission is to provide guests with an exclusive and memorable experience. The accommodation can be booked for sole use and the house is open all year round.

ACCESS & LOCATION:

The house is situated on Tanzania’s Kilimanjaro Golf & Wildlife Estate, within a wildlife crescent. It’s easily accessed via road transfer from Kilimanjaro International Airport and Arusha. Guests flying in touch down at the estate’s Dolly Airfield, just a few minutes’ drive from the property. Transfers between the airfield and the house are provided for free.

ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT THE SAFARI HOUSE:

There are ten rooms, comprising single, twin, double, triple, and family options. All interiors are beautifully presented, combining ancient dhow wood and a chic contemporary style. Furnishings include bedside stands, a writing desk and chair, a hanging unit, and luggage racks. In the family room, a crib is available on request. Room amenities consist of mosquito nets, an electric kettle for teas and coffees, drinking water, a safe, a laundry basket, bathrobes, international sockets for charging equipment, and free Wi-Fi. All en-suite washrooms are very well appointed and contain a toilet, washbasin, and walk-in shower and/or bathtub. The family room is made up of a double room and a twin room, connected by a comfy seating area. Here families can enjoy some quality time together, as books, board games, and even a TV with DVD player are supplied. And one double room has a kitchenette, recommended for guests who would like to be self-sufficient during their stay.

Communal areas at The Safari House include a spacious seating and dining area. This too is a very stylish space, featuring old wood mingling with contemporary furnishings. All meals are served here, and glass doors on both sides ensure lovely views while guests are lounging and dining. In the grounds, you’ll find the fire-pit, which is the perfect place for getting to know your fellow guests. You can also relax in the welcoming swimming pool, which is conveniently close to the bar.
