ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT PARK HYATT:
The property is made up of two impressive buildings – a seventeenth-century mansion named Mambo Msiige and a newer Zamani residence with a more contemporary feel. The hotel boasts a number of living and dining spaces, all effortlessly combining comfort and chic. The Living Room is situated in the Zamani residence and features sumptuous sofas under chandeliers. Light meals and snacks are available here, making the area ideal for casual get-togethers! The Library and Veranda is housed in Mambo Msiige. Here, guests can enjoy pre- or post-dinner cocktails while browsing a selection of books, or you can sit out on the Veranda and appreciate views of the Dhow harbour and Indian Ocean. The same spectacular vistas are visible from the Dining Room, in the Zamani residence – with its cool contemporary furnishings, this area simply defines elegance and the quality of food and drink is truly first rate! More delicious dishes are available at the Pool Lounge, adjacent to Park Hyatt’s oceanfront infinity pool. There is also a fitness centre, a spa with three suites, and two luxury boutiques selling a lovely range of gifts and souvenirs. And finally, the hotel offers a number of facilities for conferences or social events – just get in touch with us for more details!
Park Hyatt’s guest accommodation consists of 67 gorgeous guestrooms, including 11 spacious suites. All are very well appointed! The standard options are Park King and Park Twin. These occupy a generous 45 square metres each and have lovely views of Stone Town or the hotel garden. The furnishings are just as chic as the communal areas and include bedside tables with large lamps, a chunky storage chest, and a comfortable seating/dining area. The rooms are fully air conditioned and other features comprise a flat screen television, well-stocked mini bar, coffee machine, internet access and charging station. All en-suites have a flush toilet, washbasin, rain shower and separate bathtub. Park Deluxe King rooms boast all of the above, except that their views are over the ocean from a private balcony! They are also slightly more spacious, at 50 square metres. The Suites also enjoy ocean views and are roomier still, starting at 100 square metres! Many suite options are completely self-contained, perfect for guests who like a little privacy.
For fitness fans, the Park Hyatt Zanzibar Fitness Centre is open 24 hours per day and boasts the very latest cardio equipment plus an adjoining weights room. And guests in need of some pampering will love the hotel’s Anantara Spa! This includes salon services – cuts, colours, blowdries – as well as a full menu of holistic therapies. Bliss!
