OVERVIEW:
The lodge specialises in the history of the 2nd Anglo Boer War (1899 to 1902), and is close to the battlefield of Spioenkop so it is an ideal base for those interested in South Africa's military history. A stay here can easily be combined with a couple of nights with its sister lodge, Fugitive' s Drift which is 2 1/2 hours drive away. Fugitive' s Drift is particularly convenient for visiting the battlefields of the Anglo Zulu War as it is positioned between Rorke's Drift and Isandlwana.
ACCESS & LOCATION:
Located in the foothills of the Drakensberg Mountains, near Spioenkop Game Reserve.
