"A wonderful Constantia property hidden around the back of Table Mountain. Located away from the crowds and with a great restaurant and working vineyard, this is a great option for clients wanting to stay out of the city."

OVERVIEW:

This unique property takes pride of place as the Cape’s oldest registered farm, granted by governor Simon van der Stel to the feisty Catharina Ras in 1682. What started off as a cabbage farm all those years ago, now boasts an award-winning winery and an 18-hole championship golf course.

ACCESS & LOCATION:

The hotel is located in the Constantia region, cradled by the Table Mountain range. This ensures that you are within 20 minutes of Cape Town city centre and within easy reach of all the city’s main attractions. If you grow tired of Constantia’s wines, the Winelands region is less than an hour away and is easily accessible.

ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT STEENBERG HOTEL & SPA:

The selection of luxurious accommodations includes striking suites, contemporary premier rooms, family rooms, sunny barn rooms, villas, and rooms in the original Manor House. The décor is designed to offer a gracious combination of old-world charm and modern conveniences, in keeping with the rich history. There are also villas that have two or three bedrooms, the latter option with its own pool terrace – these villas are perfect for families.
The Steenberg Spa offers a selection of treatments, which can be enjoyed in one of four treatment rooms, or at the outdoor Scent Garden or Relaxation Area located at the main hotel pool. Dining options include the more formal contemporary restaurant Tryn and the informal tapas-style BistroSixteen82. The Steenberg Vineyards also offer guests a free classic wine tasting at the Tasting Room, located adjacent to BistroSixteen82.
