OVERVIEW:

The Clarendon Bantry Bay is owned and run by The Clarendon Collection. This collection is made up of two properties, situated just half a kilometre apart. The other offering is The Clarendon Fresnaye, where all children are welcome. Both hotels pride themselves on superb service standards! The price of your stay includes luxurious accommodation, full English breakfast, afternoon teas/coffees and cakes, and in-room Wi-Fi. Bantry Bay is open all year round.

ACCESS & LOCATION:

The hotel can be accessed via 30 minutes’ road transfer from Cape Town’s international airport. It’s situated along a scenic peninsula in Cape Town above Bantry Bay, on the road linking Sea Point and Clifton Beach.

ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT THE CLARENDON BANTRY BAY:

There are ten rooms and suites, across four categories, in addition to the Neptune Apartment. All options are exquisitely furnished. Beginning at entry level, the Standard Room offers a king-size bed or twin beds, bedside tables and lighting, a writing desk and chair, a seating area, and ample storage space. Additional mod cons include air conditioning, direct dial telephone, flatscreen satellite television, tea-and-coffee station, fully stocked mini-bar, digital safe, Wi-Fi, and hairdryer. En-suite facilities comprise flush toilet, twin washbasins, shower, and bathtub. Please note, this type of room has only partial views. However, full sea views are available from a number of the Superior Rooms, which offer all the features of the Standard Room in addition to extra floor space. Next up, the Superior Suite is larger still, with one or two bedrooms, and with a lovely private patio. The Clarendon Suite boasts a very spacious terrace and a large lounge too. Finally, the Neptune Apartment is located 30 seconds’ stroll from the hotel and comes with private entrance, lounge, kitchen, pool, and waiter service! It’s fantastic for honeymooners or for any couple on a romantic break.

Communal areas at The Clarendon Bantry Bay include the lovely dining room, where delicious breakfasts are enjoyed every morning. Lunches and dinners are available on request, and guests can ask for Halaal or Kosher meals. The indoor space flows out onto a deck, where you can eat, drink, and marvel at views of the ocean! The hotel also hosts The Juliet Spa, which offers a great range of massages, mani-pedis, and more. You can take time to relax in the gardens as well, in the shade of palm trees and amidst colourful flowers. And there’s a very inviting swimming pool, flanked by a row of sunloungers! The hotel provides plenty of services too, such as morning newspaper, DVD selection, laundry, and off-street parking.

    - A ride up the majestic mountain by cable car, to enjoy spectacular views!

    - Located approximately 7 kilometres off the coast, this is where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 of his 27 years behind bars. The island is accessed from Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront.
  • V&A Waterfront

    - No stay in the Mother City is complete without at least one outing to the V&A, to enjoy shops, markets, eateries, and bars!
  • Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens
