Sanctuary Mandela is situated in Houghton, one of Johannesburg’s most peaceful suburbs. It’s accessed via road transfer from O.R. Tambo International Airport along the R24, a distance of just over 20 kilometres.

ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT THE SANCTUARY MANDELA:

There are nine guest rooms, all very chic–contemporary in design and fully air conditioned. At entry level are three Deluxe Studio rooms, offering a king-size bed or twin beds, a flatscreen satellite television, Wi-Fi, an in-room safe, and full bathroom. Book one of the two Deluxe King Rooms, and you’ll enjoy all the features of the Deluxe Studio option in addition to extra space. The King Suite is more spacious still. And the Presidential Suite includes a hosted dinner by a friend of Madiba. The communal facilities at Sanctuary Mandela include the hotel’s first-rate restaurant, where many of what were Nelson Mandela’s favourite dishes are prepared. The lounge bar is the perfect place for unwinding after a flight or time spent exploring Johannesburg. Among the beverages available are an impressive selection of wines and an exciting assortment of cocktails. You can also relax in the outdoor swimming pool, which is open all year round, and in the lovely peaceful grounds. There are a few art exhibits to admire.

ACTIVITIES AT THE SANCTUARY MANDELA:
