This is one of Africa's most luxurious lodges and is a refined mix of old-world charm and stylish splendour.

OVERVIEW:
Royal Malewane combines the polished luxury of hotel living and fine dining with the adventure of a safari. The main lodge occupies a fantastic site, elevated on stilts with attractive views over an active waterhole.

ACCESS & LOCATION:
Royal Malewane is located in the Thornybush reserve to the west of South Africa’s Kruger National Park

ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES:
The rooms are nothing short of phenomenal. There are six main suites and two private suites – the Royal Suite and the Malewane suite – huge four-posters, large televisions, roll top baths, large decking areas and private pools are standard here. And guests are spoilt for choice when it comes to unwinding, having their private suite, the on-site spa, shop, library or large lounge area to choose from.

With fine dining served for every meal, service is as good as you will find anywhere; this is opulent safari at its very best.

ACTIVITIES:
The game-viewing area here is also good; it is Big Five territory, however travellers should know that you are travelling to Royal Malewane to experience the hospitality as much as the safari itself. The lodge is certainly as much of a memory as the game-viewing.
