"Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge has a spectacular setting high up on a ridge overlooking the Hluhluwe–iMfolozi Park. In terms of game viewing, expect to see lots of giraffe, elephant, rhino, zebra and other plains game – cats tend to be quite tough to see in this area."

Rhino Ridge combines perfectly with a full KwaZulu-Natal self-drive visiting the Battlefields, Drakensberg and the north coast. Alternatively, it can be paired with one of the beach resorts in KwaZulu-Natal or Southern Mozambique.

Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge has the first private concession within Hluhluwe–iMfolozi National Park and is located on the western boundary. The lodge is conveniently located close to iSimangaliso Wetland Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The lodge has ten bush villas, of which two with private plunge pools are honeymoon villas. There are also six two-bedroom suites, perfect for couples or families. The main area has an infinity pool, sun deck and bush spa for relaxing between game drives.

Activities at the lodge include morning and afternoon game drives. In order to preserve the area, off-road driving is not permitted here. Activities outside the park include fishing, whale watching, horse riding, birding – and many more.

*This property is unfenced and located in a wildlife area, so large and potentially dangerous animals do pass through. If you opt to stay here, always be alert when walking around the camp and request for a member of staff to escort you if you have any concerns. Any guest is escorted after dark as a matter of course.
