ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT AFRICAN ROCK HOTEL:

The property has a contemporary style, with plenty of clean lines. There is also a touch of glamour in its spot lighting and smooth pillars, as well as in its curved swimming pool within well-kept garden grounds. Sunloungers spread over grass and patio paving in the pool area provide a serene spot for sunbathing and getting to know your fellow guests. Seating from the comfortable bar also flows into this part of the Hotel to create a very laidback vibe. Inside, the lounge has more comfy chairs and sofas, and the Blue Hippo Restaurant provides a delightful dining experience. Fusing African and Western cuisines, the food here is seriously impressive! There are some great conference facilities too – these require a minimum of 10 persons and include snacks and meals throughout the day. The Hotel supplies ample equipment – such as flipcharts, stationery, and satellite channels – and the boardroom is very well appointed. Reasonable packages are available for either a half- or full day!

Guest accommodation at African Rock Hotel is every inch as chic as the communal areas. In total, there are nine double bedrooms – guests can opt for one king-size bed or twins. All rooms have air conditioning, in addition to lounge chairs, a work desk, a telephone, satellite television, internet access, a tea and coffee station, and a minibar fridge. The en-suite facilities consist of flush toilet, single sink or twin washbasins, bathtub, separate shower, and lots of free toiletries! The fittings are truly immaculate – very high spec indeed.

ACTIVITIES AT AFRICAN ROCK HOTEL:

The Hotel is well placed for guests to check out Johannesburg and there is a city and country tours booking office to ensure you make the most of your stay. Also known as eGoli, the city of gold, Africa’s second largest city has plenty of attractions to keep everyone entertained!

There is some interesting architecture to observe, plus numerous pleasant parks such as Johannesburg Botanical Garden and The Wilds Municipal Nature Reserve! Museum Africa boasts an intriguing collection of rock art, while Gold Reef City is a theme park that transports travellers back in time to the beginning of the nineteenth century.
  • There are also art galleries, theatres, shopping arcades, flea markets, and a whole host of other exciting things to do in this vibrant city! And when you need to take a break, you can relax at cafés, bars, restaurants… or simply pop back to the tranquil surrounds of African Rock Hotel and rest on the patio awhile.
