There are plenty of watersports available too, such as waterskiing, kayaking, windsurfing, kitesurfing, and some very scenic glass-bottom boat rides. You can also have a go at diving. Whatever your skill level, opportunities abound for you to explore the colourful coral reefs around the island, marvelling at the abundance of coral shapes and the vibrantly patterned fish life.

Just a few steps inland from the beaches, there are some lovely walks along the coasts, amidst the tropical foliage. It is very pleasant to wander around the coastline and watch out for the island’s brilliant birds. And if you are feeling energetic, you might like to ascend Le Morne Brabant, the majestic monolith on the south-west of Mauritius, for the ultimate ocean views!
