OVERVIEW:

Owned and operated by Marriott, the Four Points is hard to beat if you’re after a convenient and well-priced hotel for a late night arrival or early morning departure from the airport. The rooftop pool and bar are a real bonus if you have a little more time there! The accommodation is booked on a B&B basis, including transfers between the hotel and the airport as well as high-speed internet, and the hotel is open throughout the year.

ACCESS & LOCATION:

The Four Points is situated only 5 minutes from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. It’s accessed via road transfer.

?ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT FOUR POINTS:

Guest accommodation consists of 172 rooms and suites. All options are fully air conditioned, and have a chic contemporary style. The windows are soundproof and there are high ceilings. At entry level, there’s the Traditional room, with king-size bed or twin beds. Offering 28 square metres of floor space, this room is sufficiently spacious for one rollaway bed. In addition to the beds, furnishings feature bedside stands and lighting, an easy chair, and a desk with ergonomic chair. The washing facilities comprise toilet, washbasin, and shower, and bathing amenities include hairdryer, robe, and slippers. Other amenities consist of 24-hour room service, tea-and-coffee facilities, bottled water, a mini-bar (at cost), satellite television, cordless phone, and high-speed internet access. The Deluxe room, again king or twin, benefits from all the features of the Traditional room, offers 40 square metres, and allows access into the hotel’s business lounge. And there are two types of suite, both with views over Nairobi National Park. These boast up to 67 square metres and are perfect for a special stay.

The communal facilities at the Four Points are excellent. For dining options, there’s The Marketplace and Tazama Rooftop Restaurant. The former is an all-day restaurant with an outdoor terrace, providing local and international cuisine. You can enjoy a hearty breakfast here, followed up with lunches and suppers featuring various soups, salads, pastas, pizzas, stir fries, and curries. The dress code is casual, as it is at Tazama, which specialises in international grills and roasts with craft cocktails and beers. Tazama also offers amazing vistas over the national park! The hotel has a fitness facility too, with free weights and cardiovascular equipment. Fitness classes are complimentary. You can head to the spa, Olakira, for some relaxing and revitalising treatments, not least massages, facials, scrubs, and mani/pedis. Finally, there’s a very welcoming outdoor heated swimming pool.

ACTIVITIES AT FOUR POINTS:

Many of our clients will be using the hotel as a stopover option between flights. However, if you have time to explore Nairobi, here are a few of the city’s attractions…

  • There are many popular shopping destinations, for example Eastgate Shopping Centre, Mutindwa Market, and Nairobi Jericho Market. There are lots of bars, cafés, and restaurants too, as well as parks and gardens for a little respite.
  • The National Museum is well worth a visit, as it showcases a fascinating collection of artefacts showing the development of Kenya over time.
  • Other attractions include the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and, of course, Nairobi National Park, where you can look out for lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, antelopes, and about 400 species of bird!
