?ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT HEMINGWAYS EDEN:
Set in four acres of forested grounds, in which the resident guineafowls, peacocks, and sacred ibises roam, Eden’s main house has a homely timber frontage, while the studio building features large glass windows that let in plenty of light. Within the main house, there’s a spacious communal drawing room containing comfortable sofas, a huge coffee table, a cosy fireplace, and some intriguing artefacts and artworks. This space flows out onto the main house veranda, perfect for relaxing and enjoying views of the gardens. It is not unusual for guests to spot monkeys, warthogs, parrots, and peacocks amidst the trees, and to hear the occasional lion’s roar from the nearby national park!
Guest accommodation at Hemingways Eden consists of three bedrooms within the main house, two en-suite bedrooms in Tonio’s Studio, and three separate studio lofts. Each room at Eden is individually designed and decorated, with views of the grounds.
Main House: The three main house rooms comprise a master bedroom with super-king bed, and two king-size rooms. All rooms are beautifully furnished. The master bedroom includes a private veranda and a well-appointed en-suite bathroom with bathtub as well as separate shower. Lana & Tacha’s Room features a big bathtub with shower over, while Stas’ Room has a separate en-suite bathroom with a large rainfall shower.
Tonio’s Studio: All accommodation in the studio building is equally well appointed. Three studio lofts are double storeyed – each boasts a king-size bed and wet room on the lower level, and a lovely living area with treetop views above. And a further two units have a comfy king-size bedroom, good views, and en-suite bath and shower.
Hemingways Eden offers a complimentary breakfast hamper, which can be enjoyed within the comfort of the guest rooms or ordered to take away. Guests can book lunch and dinner at Eden’s main restaurant and bar, The Deck, which has an à la carte menu and a set menu too. All fruit and vegetables are sourced from local farmer’s markets or from the owner’s own kitchen garden.
