ACCESS & LOCATION:

ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES:
The communal areas at Pinewood Beach Resort are rather close together, but this means everything is close at hand – and it never seems too busy! The Resort boasts four restaurants, three bars, and a number of comfortable lounge areas. However, the central attraction is a large curved swimming pool, flanked by plenty of sunloungers and shady places. A pool bar also runs alongside the water and you can even order your drink while you are in the pool! Just a few steps away, guests have access to the spectacular Galu beach, with its own traditional bistro and beach bar providing a lovely space for dining, under a cooling thatched roof. Back inside Pinewood Beach Resort, guests who like to keep active can work up a sweat in the gym, an air-conditioned room with a padded floor and a variety of weights and running machines to try. Sports facilities in the grounds of the resort include a tennis court and a squash court. Beach games are also available, as well as darts and table tennis. And when you feel like taking a break, you can pop to the Amani Spa for a variety of beauty and relaxation treatments!
Pinewood’s guest accommodation consists of 58 spacious rooms and suites, ranging from standard to deluxe to executive options. All feature locally made furniture, a simple and unassuming décor, cream tiles and whitewashed walls – a soothing place to stay. Air conditioning and a ceiling fan keep things cool in the African heat, while mosquito nets ensure you are safe from pesky insects! All options also provide tea- and coffee-making facilities, a mini bar, a safe, a telephone, internet access, and a hairdryer. Depending on your choice of room or suite, there is either a balcony or a veranda, and garden or sea views. The suites come with additional living space and even a kitchen with your very own chef available to rustle up snacks and meals – just get in touch with us to discuss which option will best suit you!
The Resort’s sheer quantity of restaurants guarantees there is something for everyone to enjoy here. Seafood is sourced from local seas and vegetables are picked from Pinewood’s own gardens, resulting in some very fresh cuisine!
As Pinewood is situated close to the busy Diani Beach, guests can take advantage of the myriad watersports on offer. Staff at the resort are happy to help you book onto various activities and to organise trips to Diani Marine Park and Kisite Marine Park, as well as to Wasini Island. A number of external providers teach snorkelling and diving, in addition to kayaking and windsurfing! For something a little more leisurely, visitors can take a traditional dhow cruise, with the option of a sundowner or dinner on the gorgeous water. The local guides for water cruises are friendly and keen to show guests the wonders of Diani. Their enthusiasm really rubs off and leaves a fantastic impression!
