"Msambweni Beach House is an exclusive property in a very quiet location, with a high level of luxury. It is perfect for people who want to just relax after their safari."

OVERVIEW:

Msambweni is a lovely looking property with accommodation to suit couples and families – and the Ocean Suite is ideal for honeymooners! Msambweni has won several awards, including the TripAdvisor World Luxury Hotel!

ACCESS & LOCATION:

The coastline here boasts imposing cliffs, providing spectacular views out over the Indian Ocean! The house is set in private grounds totalling over 10 hectares and including a lovely private beach. The main house is located at the end of a sandy driveway and is surrounded by tropical trees and foliage.

ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT MSAMBWENI BEACH HOUSE:

With its whitewashed walls and charming thatched roof, it is distinctly Swahili in style – and inside, it is just as glamorous, with ornate archways, pillars and lattices. The lounge with adjoining bar contains plenty of comfortable seating, with cushions in cream, bright blue and metallics plus a row of handsome wooden barstools. There is also an elegant dining area, or guests may choose to eat and drink outside on the terrace with its funky fire pit! The enormous infinity pool begins in the house and sprawls all the way out to a sundowner deck on the cliff edge. It is one of the most generously proportioned pools we have ever seen! And down on the beach, there is an open-air gym and a spa treatment room – the latter is perfect for guests who like a little pampering on holiday. The beach also has some mysterious caves, great fun for budding explorers!

Guest accommodation at Msambweni comprises three rooms on the first and second floors of the house, an ocean suite by the side of the property, and three private villas on the north side. All house rooms are fully air-conditioned doubles, with colourful soft furnishings, ample storage space, hot beverages station, safe, lovely lounge area, and private veranda with amazing views! The en-suite facilities consist of flush toilet, twin washbasins, big bathtub and walk-in shower. Msambweni’s Ocean Suite is accessed via a walkway leading from the infinity pool. This tented accommodation is an excellent option for guests in need of a bit of privacy – and we love its slightly safari-esque style! The suite contains a roomy double bed, bedside tables, lots of storage space, comfy seating, and a dining area with table and two director’s chairs. Sea views from here are panoramic! Finally, the three villas are similar in design to the main house. Each boasts two bedrooms – one double and one twin. The villas are self-contained and serviced by a butler, a chef, and a waiter! They also have a private pool and a Jacuzzi with views of the Indian Ocean. Just get in touch with us for all the details!

ACTIVITIES AT MSAMBWENI BEACH HOUSE:

Msambweni offers loads of exciting activities. Snorkelling, scuba diving, dolphin and whale watching, and motorised watersports are all available at Kisite Marine Park, not far from the property. Guests can also enjoy the sights on Wasini Island, just 10km from the park and a great destination for a picnic! Dhow trips are also possible – as is some of the best deep-sea fishing in Africa, along the Pemba Channel.

Other excursions include a village visit and a trip to the Maasai Mara National Reserve to check out the Big Five and a plethora of other animals. Nature-loving guests will also appreciate a day out at the Shimba Hills National Reserve or Tsavo, while enthusiastic golfers will relish playing a few rounds at a nearby championship course – this boasts its very own wildlife in the form of the birds and monkeys that reside in the tropical grounds! Bikes are available for guests to tour the farmland around the hotel – and of course the enormous infinity pool is always a popular place to relax between all these activities!
