Days 1-4 South Luangwa National Park (Mfuwe)

201003 RPS 664

On Day 1 of your honeymoon, you will fly out to Mfuwe, to Nkwali Camp. This camp has a lovely location on the banks of the River Luangwa, and within a private reserve. Its communal areas are found in an open-sided timber, stone, and thatch structure, and they include a comfy lounge, library, and bar. Views from the lodge are amazing! Outside, there is a thatched dining space, in addition to a spacious swimming pool surrounded by sunloungers – perfect for cooling off in the heat of the day! You will stay in one of Nkwali’s six en-suite bamboo-and-thatch chalets. Each chalet is open fronted, so you can relax together and enjoy scenes of elephant crossing the river, without leaving your room! Lion, leopard, and occasional wild dog are also spotted around camp, as well as on game drives and walking safaris. The nearest gate into South Luangwa can be a bit crowded, but the camp has a pontoon for easy access into the park. This region contains numerous predators and herbivores, plus hundreds of bird species! And if you wish to take in a little culture, you can embark on a village tour.

Board basis and activities:
Full-board accommodation, including all meals, a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, all safari activities, and a laundry service.
