The next three nights of your trip are spent at Chamilandu Bushcamp, just a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Mfuwe Lodge. Situated on the banks of the Luangwa river, in the south region of the South Luangwa, Chamilandu is a traditional walking camp. The communal areas feature sand floors and wooden furnishings, and there is a great little fire pit. Guest accommodation consists of only three stilted chalets, so the camp has a very exclusive feel! The main activity is walking safaris, with game drives coming a close second. The camp benefits from proximity to seven ox-bow lagoons! This means that wildlife viewing in the area is exceptionally good – and you can even check out all the action from Chamilandu’s well-placed hide, while enjoying a picnic.

Board basis and activities:
Full-board accommodation, including all activities, meals, selected house alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, and a laundry service.

For the final three nights of the trip, you will drive to Bilimungwe Camp. This property is owned by the same company that owns Chamilandu, and it is another classic bushcamp within the southern part of the South Luangwa. Set amidst massive mahogany trees alongside the Luangwa river, it boasts beautiful views of three watering holes! Raised well above ground level, the communal lodge is spacious and stylish, with steps leading down to a deck even closer to the water. Bilimungwe has just four chalets – these too are elevated and very roomy, with a super-size private veranda each! Activities focus on game drives and walking safaris, with an impressive assortment of wildlife to see. And the camp even has its own secret breakfast spot! Situated on the edge of the Luangwa Valley, this is a lovely location for watching the sun start to rise over the South Luangwa’s Chindeni Hills.

Board basis and activities:
Full-board accommodation, including early buffet breakfast, brunch, afternoon tea, dinner, bottled water, soft drinks, selection of house alcoholic drinks. All activities are included, and there is a laundry service.

On Day 9, you will return to Mfuwe and connect on to your international flight/s home.
